In today's world, the importance of statistics in the formulation of public and private plans and the adoption, implementation and evaluation of development projects is increasing. The Millennium Development Goals (MDG) adopted in 2000 were finalized based on various indicators. In this context, the importance of statistics in evaluating the progress of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has increased a lot.
For this purpose, a 'New Data Revolution' has been called and emphasis has been placed on increasing cooperation for the development of the overall statistical system. Currently BBS is working on the implementation of this plan. Also to prepare statistics consistent with all national, regional and international road maps including Vision Plan 2010-2021, 7th Five Year Plan 2016-2020, Vision 2021.
